About Me
Hello! I am Ben LeBlanc, a game developer from Toronto, Canada. A lifelong passion for video games had me changing careers in 2017 from finance to game development. I graduated with honors from George Brown College in 2020 and have since worked at Electronic Arts on Covet Fashion as a Quality Designer. I consider myself a generalist programmer, though with a focus on gameplay and environmental design. Currently I am enrolled at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in their Computer Coding Certificate (estimated completion, Winter 2025)
Since graduating college I have made continuing education a pillar of my time. Continuously earning online certificates and working on my own projects as you can see below. I have an intense desire to bring fantastic worlds to life and I will continue to push my skills in order to achieve that.
Beyond that I have a YouTube channel where you can watch me play through some varied and interesting games.
Last year I also begun my own fund called "Ben's Helping Fund". It's small so far, but the plan is to create a financially sustainable fund that prioritizes making a more fair and equitable society. Ever heard of a sovereign wealth fund? It'll be something like that!
This website is very much a work in progress, for someone that wants to be a game developer I've finished a surprisingly few amount of games. I'm currently working hard to rectify that, please check out the blog I'm releasing to get updates.
Udemy
I've spent many hours throughout the years doing lessons on Udemy. I believe that continued learning is never a bad thing. Though I admit I have sacrificed working on my own projects too much in the past. Nevertheless, I would like to highlight all of the courses I've completed over the years. Enjoy!
